The base to all designers walls are cream or white.
I love the purity of these colours used in a bedroom, especially white bed sheets - it leaves more to the imagination and is both feminine and masculine. See more here
Personally i get very bored in the same surroundings, so by using such a pure colour, you can use accessories and other easy objects to change scenery whenever needed.
